Growing up I remember watching my mother knit or chrochet blankets, scarves, baby sweaters and other items. What was so amazing to me was the fact that she never used a pattern, she made it up as she went along. She didn't know the ins and outs of putting pieces together, yet her items always looked professionally finished.
My mother instilled in me that same love for creating hand-made items. She was my teacher and my mentor. Sadly she is no longer with me and I treasure the time we spent together quietly knitting or chrocheting side-by-side. Because of her I have come to enjoy the moments when I can be in my creative world designing, creating and making my products for others to enjoy and give.
