Growing up I remember watching my mother knit and crochet blankets, scarves, and sweaters what was so amazing to me was the fact that she never used a pattern. My mother instilled in me that same love for creating hand-made items. She was my teacher and my mentor. Sadly my mother is no longer with me and I treasure the memories of the times we spent together quietly working side-by-side.
Now my love of crafting has taken off in many directions. As you can see, I also make free-style jewelry incorporating glass, wood and hand-made paper beads. I've pulled out my sewing machine and have started to make cloth bags, I'll be posting pictures shortly.
I just posted a picture of Matilda my very first Clay Pot Character for those of you who have been visiting that page you'll now be able to see what they look like. As I said Matilda was my first attempt and as I create each character I develop them a little bit more and try to bring them more to life. I'll be posting pictures shortly.
