Growing up I remember watching my mother knit or chrochet blankets, scarves, baby sweaters and other items. What was so amazing to me was the fact that she never used a pattern, she made up her pattern as she worked on the piece. Her work always looked professionally finished not homemade.
My mother instilled in me that same love for creating hand-made items. She was my teacher and my mentor. Sadly she is no longer with me and I treasure the time we spent together quietly knitting or chrocheting side-by-side. Because of her I have come to enjoy the moments when I can be creating and making my crafts for others to enjoy and give.
